2021年12月27日 · I know this is an old post, but an idea popper in my head when looking for a BK15 & BK18 comparison and finding this thread. If you have a 15, could you lengthen the handle with custom scales to include the forefinger choil? This would give you a longer grip length while maintaining most of the other characteristics of the knife.

2009年1月1日 · Is the BK18 actually a trailing point? I was under the impression that the tip was no higher than the spine, but I don't have one to look at. Sure the 'poon is, but I'd argue that doesn't count. It does have a lot of the edge sweep of a trailing point, however, as it appears to lack a truly straight section. re: ancient mariners

2010年4月11日 · I recently got a bk18 from Amazon, and I can't seem to find an allen wrench to fit the handle screws. I'm on my 4th set of wrenches I've purchased, metric and standard, and none of them fit. When I contacted Kabar, they told me it was 9/64. Today I purchased another standard and metric set, including a 9/64 and it spins in the head of tye screw.

2002年10月6日 · The old coating sure came off better than the newer stuff. Im hoping they adopt The coating they used in the bk18. Much smoother. I really dont mind the machine marks on any of my blades, especially beckers. Love the bk98 too. Ill buy another when i find a good deal or an ok deal when im into making bad decisions.
