The MG 42 possesses the second highest rate of fire amongst all fully automatic weapons at 981 RPM, which can be bolstered to 1200 RPM when using the Light Bolt specialization.

MG42 1200RPM sounds glorious! But I see it as this: the 1200rpm is a nuke variant for insane fast dps, but a lot of downtime. When the other spec has a little less dmg but has a very high uptime of the damage.

MG42 is awesome, but my favorite MMG is the M1919. It's very good at range, and the hip fire accuracy is surprisingly good. 1919 is just great. No recoil, 250 rounds, quick (?) firerate if you run light bolt and it sounds like it’s shooting bricks. It has the slowest fire rate of the mmgs even with the fast bolt, but it still great at range.
