The Convair B-58 Hustler, designed and produced by American aircraft manufacturer Convair, was the first operational bomber capable of Mach 2 flight. [1] The B-58 was developed during the 1950s for the United States Air Force (USAF) Strategic Air Command (SAC).

The B-58 had a delta wing design that included many firsts for strategic bombers. It had four turbojet engines with afterburners, and was the first supersonic aircraft with engine pods mounted outboard on the wings.

Midway throughout its career, the B-58 was reconfigured to carry four Mk. 43 thermonuclear weapons on external pylons underneath the wings between the fuselage and the main landing gear bays. Two weapons were carried on either side of the fuselage in tandem.

August 2007 saw B58 WUL go up for sale again, this time it was purchased by Scarborough based operator Shoreline Suncruisers who then converted it into full open top and painted into their Blue & Yellow livery it wears today.
