
Why on earth does Azurill look so miserable in Gen V?
The first is that azurill evolves based off of happiness, so it starts off looking miserable. Its evolutions after that look increasingly happy. The second is that it is using its sad looks much like fake tears in order to minimize damage from pokemon while it is in the wild or battling. Last, it is a baby and babies cry.
