(keep in mind the ADC is sampling MUCH faster than this because of sigma-delta modulation). A video ADC is typically 8-12 bits (sometimes 14b) and samples between 10 - 40 MHz. An ADC in a Gb Ethernet chip would be more like 6 - 8 bits @ 125 MHz.

The prosumer audio interfaces DO have some good options, but very few with the emphasis on the best quality ADC coming in. All of the audio interface solutions are trying to give "pro" users the mic preamp quality, and sometimes a decent instrument input.

It works perfectly at frequencies up to 352.8kHz, and its performance is excellent.
