2021年12月6日 · The Audi R8 came with a V8 at first but in 2009 it also got a V10 added to its selection. Which one would you get if you got to choose? I would get a 2008 V8 Manual, just because OG. BUT, a manual V10 from 2009 (love the early look) would be great too as that's a dream. It's hard to choose for me lol. Lemme know what you choose!

2022年11月23日 · The V8 on the other hand, is one of my favorite sounding Non-Ferrari V8s. It has more of a change of character depending on the RPMs compared to the V10, especially when you fit a titanium exhaust. It has more of a traditional V8 growl/rumble down low then transitions to higher pitched scream up high that makes your spine tingle.

The supercharged V6 is one of Audis most reliable engines. The V8 in the S5s is on the opposite end of that spectrum. The V6 is very easy to make power, the V8 is not. Unless it’s a RS4/5 or R8 4.2, I wouldn’t buy an Audi V8 vehicle.

2019年3月10日 · LMAO at all these people sayings stuff about timing chain guides. The V8 in the B8 S5 has different guides and is free of the old B6/B7 S4 V8 issues. Things to watch out for at high mileage: -carbon cleaning (will depend heavily on how the car is driven) -motor mounts (replace with 034 ones) -suspension bushings get worn out from age.

2023年3月4日 · The W12 is probably the most reliable engine Audi ever made. There is a tsb for the thermostat and it needs to be periodically carbon cleaned but that’s it, no other common issues. The TDI is also super reliable but you need to be sure you’re putting very good diesel in it. #1 diesel only and change the fuel filter at the correct intervals.
