Atreyu is an American metalcore band from Yorba Linda, California, formed in 1998. The band's current line-up consists of clean vocalist Brandon Saller, guitarists Dan Jacobs and Travis Miguel, and bassist and unclean vocalist Marc "Porter" McKnight.

Atreyu was founded on the concept of “everything you need, nothing you don’t.” In fact, that was the primary criteria in the initial shoe design brief Krajicek wrote in early 2019 and he’s been obsessing about it ever since.

Atreyu is a Greenskin warrior from the Grassy Ocean in Fantastica. Upon discovery that the Childlike Empress is dying, Atreyu is summoned to find a cure. The Empress gives the AURYN to Atreyu, a powerful medallion that protects him from all harm.

'Atreyu' is an American metal core band with melodic death metal and hardcore influences from Orange County, California. Contrary to popular belief, the band did not intentionally name itself after Atreyu, a character from Michael Ende's novel, The Never-ending Story.
