2021年4月27日 · I am trying to install my Atlas M5 handguard barrel nut on a new Aero upper and I can't get the nut timing correct for the gas tube. At 30 ft lbs the nut tube cutout doesn't line up with the tube hole in the receiver, and as I incrementally increase the torque all the way to 80 ft lbs it still doesn't line up.

2022年11月18日 · The grove is probably to help you time the barrel nut so that the wedges contact the angles on the barrel correctly. To prove you are wrong, I just took a spare Atlas and it clearly shows the gas tube clearing the barrel nut even without it being timed. If the grove were needed for the gas tube to clear, this picture wouldn't be possible.

2023年6月1日 · And yes, all of those tolerances stack. Imagine the difference in 5.56 suppressor results from a 14.5" AR15 if you're buying it for a bolt action 24" .22-250 with special handloads. Or for a 7.5” AR pistol which shoots .22 Hornet or something wacky but only using whatever factory ammo is on sale that day.

2021年10月12日 · I've lost count of the number of Harris and clone bipods I've owned over the years. Usually the short BRM model. Then I said what the heck and bought one Atlas with the LaRue QD picatinny mount. The bipod was more difficult and slower to deploy and stow, and more wobbly. I am utterly disappointed in it, especially considering the cost.
