ASMANEX HFA is approved for the maintenance treatment of asthma in patients 5 years and older. ASMANEX HFA will not relieve sudden asthma symptoms and is not for patients under the age of 5 years. ASMANEX HFA is available in 3 dosage strengths, 50 mcg for patients 5 to less than 12 years old, and 100 mcg or 200 mcg for patients 12 years and older.

ASMANEX HFA is an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) prescription medicine used as maintenance treatment for the prevention and control of asthma symptoms in people 5 years of age and older. ASMANEX HFA is not used to treat sudden severe symptoms of asthma. ASMANEX HFA should not be used as a rescue inhaler.
