It's a physically demanding job because you'll be carrying ~100lb projectiles from wherever they come from to storage, from storage to the staging area, from there to the gun.

It's loading pallets, securing loads, unloading and transferring loads, and of course, a shitload of maintenance. TL:DR - 13B and 88M are some of the most laborious work in the Army, and there is no getting around it. If this is you, great.

2024年4月28日 · As a 13B in an Airborne Artillery BN there is a 66% chance you will go to an M119 battery, which requires deadlifting a 4,900 lbs. cannon at a minimum of twice before you get it into action every single time. 33% chance you get to a M777 battery, who’s rounds are at minimum 98 lbs. shit does not get any lighter on the DZ.

Prepare for a lot of "Pull-String-Go-Boom" jokes, 13Bs are the only ones at AIT that don't need any books and spend the shortest time there so you'll get teased a lot for lack of intelligence, just don't take it too seriously.
