Now officially named "Arria", the 10 metre high finished "Angel of the Nauld" sculpture sits on its site overlooking the North bound carriageway of the M80 north of Auchenkilns. The "Angel Of The Nauld" takes the form of a female figure, with two large swooping arcs from the upraised palms of her hands to the hem of her dress.

Arria, Angel of the Nauld, was designed and created by Scottish sculptor, Andy Scott. She stands at 10 metres tall, weighs 7 tonnes, and faces towards the town of Cumbernauld overlooking the M80. She is known to be described as the ‘metal mermaid’ and was opened to the public in 2011 by Anne, Princess Royal. Nearby sites include: The Kelpies.
