2023年10月1日 · But many tracks were duplicated so I fixed this - as suggested - by wiping all the music from the iphone 11 and then resynced via a USB cable. All songs now correct. HOWEVER all the artwork is mixed up Eg an AC/DC album has Counting Crows artwork etc. I dont have iTunes Music. So no "re-sync" option is available.

Previously, a playlist would generate artwork by combining the artwork for the first four tracks in the playlist. Now, Apple Music on iOS uses a selection of abstract gradients for artwork on a new playlist. This is a backwards step.

2021年11月17日 · Unfortunately, these options don't work. When you open the song and select artwork, the option to delete is no longer there with the new "Music" app. You can add, but not delete. If you access the song file via the album option you end up in the same place. The option to delete album artwork is gone. Nice update Apple.

2022年11月18日 · Fine, I decided to delete the incorrect ones, so I selected "Clear Downloaded Artwork". It appears to remove the artwork from the album, but when I restart Music, there is it again. No amount of retrying fixes the issue. I've had to restore from a backup to wipe all the downloaded artwork. I'm using Music version 1.2.5.7.

2022年2月2日 · Solution was simply to delete Music App and all music files from new iPhone SE. Then download Music from App Store (no subscription needed) and then do a clean reload/resync music. I first did a "Selected artists, albums..." sync. Once I saw they Album artwork was correct, then did "Entire music library." Now everything is correct again.

(there is an option in iTunes/Music "Get Album Artwork" for this, but again, that contacts Apple's artwork servers to populate the cache file as opposed to adding the artwork directly to the file's metadata)
