2021年5月2日 · M1 vs Intel in games (ram and vram magic) I have two MacBooks: MacBook Pro 16 inch 2019 16gb ram 1TB intel i9 MacBook Pro 14 inch 2021 16gb ram 512GB 8/14 cores M1 chip I tried to launch Rust (game) on both MacBooks. RAM is bottleneck for that game.

2024年6月21日 · Not sure how you managed to figure that out. M1 Macs don't have ram slots at all. If you do have a RAM slot, then you don't have an M1 Mac. But I want to double my RAM from 16GB to 32GB. M1 Macs do not support more than 16GB of RAM. Configurations available when Apple was selling them topped out at 16GB.

2023年12月20日 · Then I can no longer use Apple Silicon Macs (M1, M2, M3) for scientific calculations / work. So there are only two options for me, either I switch to another operating system, which I don't really want to do, but apparently have to, or I go back to using Apple FORTRAN on Apple II.

2023年10月14日 · If you compare the list prices of the 'base' 13" M1 and M2 MacBook Airs – which both have 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD – the M1 model lists for $999 (breaking the magic $1000 price point), while the M2 model goes for $1099. (I could be wrong, but I think in the past, the difference might have been $200 in favor of the M1 machine.)
