2023年2月6日 · Twelve students from Apii Takitumu were inducted as the school’s 2023 prefects in a special ceremony yesterday morning at the Holy Spirit Revival church in Matavera.

Education levels: ECE – Year 6; Total enrolment: 185; School Hours: 7:40am – 1:40pm; ECE Hours: 8:00 – 11:30; Location: Matavera, Rarotonga; Apii Takitumu is a government school established in 1963. The current roll of 185 includes children from ECE level up to Year 6 with the majority of students residing within Vaka Takitumu.

2024年2月3日 · Just over a week after starting back at school, Apii Takitumu welcomed in the month of February by hosting their prefect’s induction day at the Holy Spirit Revival Church yesterday morning. Each of the 11 prefects were presented with their badges by one of their parents/guardians, witnessed by their families and Apii Takitumu’s 155 students.

2022年2月19日 · A special ceremony was held yesterday to celebrate the investiture of Apii Takitumu’s first ever head boy and head girl.

And then there’s the youngest eleven-year-old seafaring volunteer amongst us, who rides every crest, whether it be trying out the ukulele or joining in an ocean swimming lesson with the students at Apii Takitumu, Apii Te Uki Ou, and St. Joseph’s schools.”

Apii Takitumu has built raised garden beds to incorporate agriculture learning into the school curriculum. The school says their village and horticulture skills are just as important as reading, writing and maths. It says growing allows them to apply their reading, writing and maths skills outside the classroom.
