2020年8月14日 · The torch commemorates the centenary of the ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) landings at Gallipoli in Turkey in April 1915 during World War One. On 25 April 1915 Australian and New Zealand soldiers landed at what is now called Anzac Cove on the Gallipoli Peninsula.

The Legacy Centenary Torch Relay 2023, presented by Defence Health started on 23 April 2023 in Pozières France. After travelling through London, which is the only Legacy Club outside of Australia, the Torch will travel to all 44 Legacy Clubs in Australia.

Torch Relay will be conducted to celebrate Legacy’s contribution to the families of our fallen and the families of our incapacitated members over the past hundred years. To mark this occasion, Sydney Legacy is hosting a relay around the CBD on 19 July, commencing at 10.30am at the Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park. The Torch will be lit in the Flame of Remembrance at the Memorial, and a remembrance ceremony will take place shortly after, attended by the Minister for Veterans, the Hon David Harris MP.
