Nowadays its a way for zoomers to believe theyre special. They wear it and at some point take it while filming, thinking everyone is admiring their insane pump like theyre main characters in an anime. Also a way for girls to get undressed in public and show off their underwear-like gym clothes. All in all, its just begging for attention.

Extra heat can accelerate the deterioration of displays (more of a concern with OLED, however it also affects regular LCD displays).
