Anime Central (ACen) is the largest anime, manga and Japanese popular culture convention in Chicago and the Midwest. ACen happens once a year in the Spring (around April or May) less than 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, in Rosemont, IL.

Our convention schedule spans across the 3 days. While our full schedule is released at a later date, here is a general view of our schedule.

2025年2月12日 · Anime Central (ACen) is the largest anime, manga and Japanese popular culture convention in Chicago and the Midwest. Anime Central 2025 will take place from May 16-18 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare and Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.

To give you an idea a better idea of all the ground you may cover over the course of Anime Central, below is a map of our function spaces. Our function spaces are split between two locations: the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, and the Hyatt Regency O’Hare.

There are many accommodations available in the Rosemont area to consider for Anime Central. We partner with hotels in the area to offer exclusive discounts for Anime Central attendees. Amenities may vary based on hotel.

Anime Central’s video rooms run twenty-four hours a day for the whole weekend for your viewing pleasure. We show some of everything: eagerly anticipated premieres, classics and old favorites, and series featuring Anime Central’s American and Japanese guests.
