2023年5月17日 · 4K is not a standard in anime like in live action mostly for 2 reasons: The first is technical, 2d animation doesn't benefit much from higher resolutions, modern TVs do upscaling of large single color fields like in anime and cartoon so well that there is no noticeable difference between native 4K and upscaled Full-HD for most people.

They usually work with lower resolutions first and then upscale for the broadcast and Blu-ray. So as you might imagine upscaling to 4K is more complex if you are working with the same resolutions.
