AndroGel ® (testosterone gel) 1% and 1.62% are controlled substances, available by prescription, used to treat adult males who have low or no testosterone due to certain medical conditions. It is not known if AndroGel is safe or effective to treat men who have low testosterone due to aging.

AndroGel 1.62% is a topical testosterone replacement therapy gel available in a metered-dose pump or travel-ready packets. Before you begin treatment, there are a few things you should know about application.

AndroGel 1.62% is supplied in a single package including 1 metered-dose pump. AndroGel 1.62% is also supplied in 20.25 mg and 40.5 mg packets. Dosing can be adjusted between 50 mg (5 grams of gel) and 100 mg (10 grams of gel) of testosterone.
