Anakena is a white coral sand beach in Rapa Nui National Park on Rapa Nui (Easter Island), a Chilean island in the Pacific Ocean. Anakena has two ahus ; Ahu-Ature has a single moai and Ahu Nao-Nao has seven, two of which have deteriorated. [ 1 ]

Anakena, which is the main beach on Easter Island, represents the typical picture that we all have when we think of a paradisiacal beach. Its white and fine coral sand, crystalline turquoise sea, calm waves and coconut palms (brought from Tahiti several decades ago) make it an ideal place for rest and leisure.

Anakena is the only big tropical sand beach of Rapa Nui. Decorated with palm trees it's a great place to spend a free day. A few small kitchens are on the beach serving BBQ, empanadas, natural fruit juices and alcoholic drinks.
