The Antonov An-148 (Ukrainian: Антонов Ан-148) is a regional jet designed and built by Antonov of Ukraine. Development of the aircraft was started in the 1990s, and its maiden flight took place on 17 December 2004. The aircraft completed its certification programme on 26 February 2007.

The AN-158 (AN-148-200) is a further development of the AN-148 aircraft and is intended for transportation of 99 passengers over a distance of 1500–4500 km. The airplane can be delivered in different layout configuration versions: economy class for 99 passengers, business class + economy class for 86 passengers.

The AN-158-100 regional passenger jet, developed on the basis of the AN-148, meets all the modern world requirements, safety and ecological standards. The AN-158 is a twin-engine passenger aircraft designed by the Ukraine State Enterprise Antonov, and jointly manufactured by Antonov Serial Plant (Ukraine) and Voronezh Aircraft Production Association (Russia). The aircraft provides seating for up to 99 passengers over a range up to 4,000km.

The family of the AN-148/-158 regional passenger aircraft is intended for transportation of 70 to 99 passengers as well as their baggage, mail and cargoes on both domestic and international routes, and possible operation at airfields with paved and unpaved runways located at the elevation of up to 4100m above the sea level.
