Amphimachairodus is an extinct genus of large machairodonts. [2] It is also a member of the tribe Homotherini within Machairodontinae and is most closely related to such species as Xenosmilus , Homotherium itself, and Nimravides .

Adeilosmilus kabir was a genus of large machairodontine saber-tooth cats that lived in Africa during the Miocene through Pliocene. Paleontologists have discovered the remains of a large saber-toothed cat in the Taurus-Menella in Africa, known as Amphimachairodus kabir.
