Amatsu has 3 big attacks that will activate at a certain HP%. Usually the followers you have will only instruct you to use it on the 2nd big attack (where the floor will drain your HP), but the other 2 attacks can be avoided using the Great Wirebugs too.

Amatsu's scripted flying sequences are super lame though, no denying how tedious it gets when you're farming it and getting shit drops. In general I find the flying "Serpent-style" Elders to be badly designed, at least for game focused on ground combat, All-mother is the only enjoyable one, its a pretty cool fight in its upgraded MR form.

Narwa's biggest AOEs can be avoided with a regular wirebug onto some rocks. Amatsu's biggest nuke requires a Great Wirebug that nearly launches you to the moon.

Amatsu has a really long downtime after attacks, and he also doesn't have much health. Just learn his pattern and position yourself in a place where you'll be free to dish out dmg after it attacks. 2023年4月20日 · Amatsu HH is the new water horn given its competitors are Ludroth and Mizu HH both has meh offensive songs and Amatsu’s ele buff song blows both those HH ele stat to the sewer. Ele HH aint care much about crit so -25% affinity is not a problem.

Amatsu armor is a knockoff version by comparison. It's not trying to be Fatalis armor. It's letting the endgame still have build variety instead of homogenizing every endgame build.

2023年4月21日 · Amatsu's original fight (MHP3rd) wasn't all that great, and he didn't get much of an update for Generations either. Sunbreak definitely improved his fight, but he's still mostly just a floating damage sponge with slow-moving AoE attacks that tries to wow hunters with spectacle instead of tight, technical combat.

2022年11月30日 · That tier of elder dragons that amatsu is in is always hard for me to power scale because basi ally every elder dragon can completely destroy or alter ecosystems and entire areas, and amatsu in the p3rd cutscene has been shown to basically cause a storm that seemed much bigger than what kushala did in the mh2 cutscene.

Amatsu hits hard at that point in the game and is incredibly aggressive while also having lots of attacks that will punish you for sloppy use of the wirebug. If SB didnt have an insane amount of powercreep bc of its endgame, it would be much harder than what most people feel right now.
