AIS Arena is an 4,200-seat multi-purpose indoor arena located in Canberra. The venue was opened by the Prime Minister, the Hon Malcolm Fraser, on 26 January 1981 and was originally called the National Indoor Sports Centre.

2024年7月3日 · The AIS Arena in Canberra has reopened with new seating, lighting and air conditioning following a A$15m (£7.9m/$10m/€9.3m) upgrade. The venue was closed to major events in 2020 by the Australian Sports Commission due to COVID-19 and turned into a vaccination centre where more than 288,000 inoculations were administered.

The AIS Arena is a 4,200 capacity indoor stadium which has been used for sports such as basketball, gymnastics and volleyball as well as music concerts. Directly adjacent to, but not strictly part of the institute is the 25,000 capacity outdoor Canberra Stadium which has hosted matches of all the major forms of football played in Australia.
