The AIFV (Armored Infantry Fighting Vehicle) is an American tracked light armored vehicle that serves as an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) in the armies of several countries. It is a development of the M113A1 armored personnel carrier.

The YPR-765 is an extended version of the AIFV, created in the 1970s by the American company Food Machinery and Chemical Corporation (FMC) based on the M113A1 and the XM765 prototype. Their distinction lies in an improved design compared to the M113, with most units being produced in the Netherlands by the company DAF.

2019年7月2日 · ACV-AIFV marked a pair of 25mm cannon-armed models and ACV-ATV served in the anti-tank role, being outfitted with 2 x Hughes BGM-71 TOW missile launchers. The ACV-AMV was used as a mortar carrier, carrying an 81mm mortar system as well as a 7.62mm machine gun for local defense.

FNSS Savunma Sistemleri has developed a stabilised turret (called Sharpshooter) for the AIFV which is electrically operated and controlled and is armed with a 25 mm ATK Gun Systems Company M242 Chain Gun and 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun. This has been developed as a private venture, with the first export customer being Malaysia.

Similar to the US Army Bradley Fighting vehicle, the AIFV was equipped with a 25MM Bushmaster canon and a co-axial M240 7.62MM Machine Gun. Built by United Defense in San Jose, CA, the vehicle operates on the same power plant as the M113 series vehicle - Detroit Diesel Allison 6VT-53T (270 HP).
