In the Hebrew Bible, Oholiab (Hebrew: אָהֳלִיאָב ʾĀholīʾāḇ, "father's tent"), son of Ahisamakh, of the tribe of Dan, worked under Bezalel as the deputy architect of the Tabernacle and the implements which it housed, including the Ark of the Covenant. He is described in Exodus 38:23 as a master of carpentry, weaving, and embroidery. [2]

Aholiab, a significant figure in the Old Testament, is prominently mentioned in the context of the construction of the Tabernacle, the sacred dwelling place of God among the Israelites during their wilderness journey. His account is primarily found in the Book of Exodus.

From (1) the noun אהל ('ohel), tent, and (2) the noun אב ('ab), father. There's only one Oholiab in the Bible, but he plays an important role in it: Oholiab was teamed up with Bezalel to build the tabernacle (Exodus 31:6).
