The San Roque Dam, operated under San Roque Multipurpose Project (SRMP) is a 200-meter-tall, 1.2-kilometre (0.75 mi) long embankment dam on the Agno River. It is the largest dam in the Philippines and sixteenth largest in the world (see List of largest dams in the world).

Roughly two million people live in the Agno River Valley, making it one of Philippines' larger population clusters. The river is dammed by three hydroelectric power plants: the Ambuklao Dam in Bokod, the Binga Dam in Itogon, and the San Roque Dam in San Manuel.

The San Roque Multi-Purpose Dam Project (SRMDP) is a priority project of the National Power Corporation (NPC). It forms part of the Agno River Basin Development Project conceptualized by the state in the 1950's, 60's and 70's that aimed to supply the growing energy demand in Luzon.
