2012年1月6日 · Some vets do use Adequan IA (into Joints) on 'some' horses. It was a popular IA med a few years ago, but not so much anymore. There are much better things now to give IA. My hose gets HA/steroid combo about once a year into his hock joints. He has bone spurs. And of course, only a qualified vet shound do these types of shots.

2012年12月4日 · Adequan's "recommended dosage" for equines is one vial every 4 days, for a month. Repeat in 6 months. Obviously your vet will advise you how to proceed with Brady, but you could ask his opinion on the IChON. I know many vets here are recommending it instead of the Adequan in horses. The equine protocol has changed from two or three years ago.

2017年1月6日 · just curious, i was researching chondroprotec since that is what my new vet offers vs. adequan. when i looked it up the description mention use for open wounds in horses. any input on it? the price is considerably less. both of my dogs have been successfully treated w/ adequan- 6 injections, 3/4 days apart and then a booster a month later.

2012年7月13日 · Missy had her first adequan injection yesterday and an acupuncture treatment later in the day (not her first, she has had it for couple years) Yesterday was a great day, even before the shot and treatment. She has LS and arthritis. Had a depo shot last week. No other changes to her supplements.

2013年6月4日 · Yes, the horse Adequan is also on back order. My horse gets bi-weekly Adequan injections. Thankfully, my awesome equine vet found me a 10-dose vial to sustain us. I suggest asking your vet about alternatives. Best of luck! Adequan is a great drug and I was completly stressed out when I heard about the shortage.

2012年7月19日 · I should have clarified...we give the Adequan SQ, and we give it over the shoulder. In *that* location, across the back and shoulders, the network of nerves on dogs is finer than it is on cats, thus making the smaller-gauge needle preferable. (I don't know how it compares in any other location.) And the SQ method is leading to good results for us.
