2015年4月16日 · AdBlue would be one of several things that have to warm up, as well as the cat converters and so on. If I remember correctly, there's a small AdBlue tank near the injector that can likely be warmed quickly and begin injecting the fluid. That would allow more time to thaw out the remainder of the system.

2015年4月17日 · One more thing to note if your adblue tank is full, unplug the harness/hose and dump all the DEF fluid into a large clean container. This will help out as its very hard to get the tank bolted back into position. Once the nearly empty tank is bolted back in place, just re-fill it as you normally would. I use the small Filler bottle from VW.

2016年2月9日 · The AdBlue heaters are a few hundred watts. Modifying the system to improve fuel economy would be stepping over dollars to pick up nickels. It only runs in sub-zero (Fahrenheit) anyway. The tank, the pump, and the lines are all heated electrically.

I made the expensive mistake of putting it the wrong place and broke the nipple off the control module ($500 retail, you can find it for $375). It also helps to have an empty Adblue tank, since it makes it lighter to reinstall on the frame.

2019年7月8日 · We took in to the local stealership and they quoted a little over $1700 to change the whole tank. I've read a few things (please straighten me out if needed....unless everything on the internet IS true, lol). 1. All the "stuff" in the Adblue tank is in one modular unit (heater, sensor, pump). 2. The sensor/pump/heater unit can be changed.

2023年1月18日 · I appears that the tank is about 4 gallons, but that would seem very large for adblue Assuming the polymer can take diesel, it would seem relatively easy to disconnect the adblue line to the motor and install a small fuel pump and run a line to any point higher than the main tank on the main fill line.
