ACEA A5 Oil | BobIsTheOilGuy
2020年4月1日 · edit: weird, just looked at the owners manual, and the 2.4 has SM, ILSAC GF-4 or above, ACEA A5 or above listed, but the 2.0T only has ACEA A5? Which is weird since their temp chart for the 2.0T allows for 5w-30, 5w-40, 10w-30, 15w-40 and 20w-50, but only 5w-30 meets the A5 spec. there is a little disclaimer at the bottom of the temp chart that ...
Is there a list of ACEA A3 or A5 approved oils anywhere?
2023年3月20日 · Depending on where you live any euro spec oil in 5w30 will meet A3 or A5. C3 oils meet the same performance requirements of A3 but are developed for use with ULSD/ULSG so keep that in mind. Furthermore if you're only shopping ACEA specification then just buy whichever is cheaper.

List of A5/B5 Oils? | BobIsTheOilGuy
2011年12月5日 · Yeah, since A5/B5 is an extended drain spec, it'd be hard for a typical mineral oil to make it. Then again, some mfgs offer 15w-40 oils which meet ACEA A3/B3, and A3/B3 is an extended drain spec as well. And I'm pretty sure these 15w-40 oils are mineral, or mostly mineral, so who knows...

Comparison engine oil ACEA A5/B5 ILSAC GF4/5 and ACEA …
2010年2月7日 · For most cars, the specification ACEA A5/B5 ILSAC GF-4/5 is recommended. Example of LEXUS, TOYOTA. How the use of oil of the same viscosity, but in the A3/B3/B3/B4 specification, affects wear and engine protection? There is a theory that A5/B5 light running oils cause less high-temperature deposits, lacquers and deposits, especially on the rings.
ACEA C2 instead of A5? | BobIsTheOilGuy
2018年11月28日 · Ok, I will use ACEA C2 then, 5w30, and continue with 7.5k Km intervals. Thanks. I find this local oil from Croatia rafinery INA: INA ULTRA PC 5w30 (ACEA A5/B5/C2; API SN; PSA B712290; HTHS 2,97; TBN 8,65; Sulfated ash: 0,63%...). I dont trust major brand names, because there are a lot of counterfits here in Bosnia.
ACEA A3/B3 vrs A5/B5 | BobIsTheOilGuy
2019年6月10日 · Yeah, GM6094 is an outdated spec, if I'm not mistaken. Likely retired when Dexos was introduced. My guess is any 5w-30 oil would be fine, if you don't run extended oil change intervals. And if you do, I would think any Dexos1 gen2 approved oil would work fine, as would ACEA A5/B5 oil.
Pennzoil Platinum and ACEA A5/B5 | BobIsTheOilGuy
2013年11月8日 · I noticed it said A1, no more A5/B5. I thought that was interesting. Mobil 1 5W-30/10W-30 says it meets A1/B1 and A5/B5, and Valvoline Synpower says it meets A1/A5. So, reading over the new Platinum labels, that's what caught my eye, the lack of A5/B5, especially when I remembered the older bottles were labeled as such.
