Aangan / ˈ ɑː ŋ ɡ ə n / (Urdu: آنگن, romanized: Āṅgan, lit. 'courtyard'), alternatively spelled Angan, is a period novel by Pakistani novelist and short story writer Khadija Mastoor. Published in 1962, it is hailed as a masterpiece of Urdu literature.

The Women’s Courtyard revolves around the aangan (courtyard) of a Muslim home as the subcontinent of India struggles to break free from British Raj. Embodied in the narrative are political uprisings, marriage proposals, dowry gatherings, and countless family squabbles.

The Aangan novel is written in the backdrop of the Movement of Independence in India.
