Here's what I have been working on for the past few weeks. It is a Lionel GP 7/9 B unit. I numbered it 1805. The ARR's real 1805 went down an embankment with the 3008 and a Jordan Spreader. The ARR scrapped the 1805. I remember seeing the 1805 with a crunched cab, so I built a cabless 1805.

2012年1月5日 · Alaska Railroad GP7 #1801 (Serial #15708, Frame #7012-18) was not built for the Alaska Railroad, but was built for the United States Army as USAX 1838. She came to the Alaska Railroad when the Army declared the unit surplus. She was used mainly for local train work and work train service before being retired from the roster in 1996.

In July of 1976 she was reborn as a GP7u at the ICG/Paducah shops to become locomotive 1803. The model: James Sava's photograph of 1826 on arrival in Alaska, motivated this model. I Started with a P2K Life Like GP7 phase 1 with standard Blomberg trucks. I used a donated Athern SW frame, motor and the required AAR A trucks .
