The diagnosis is primarily based on the structural findings seen on optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging. OCT angiography may show void defects in deep capillary plexus and choriocapillaris. Patients with AMN report a sudden onset of one or more paracentral scotomas, decreased vision, and/or blurry vision.
