2018年12月16日 · I have 4 broken pins, all next to one another on my Ryzen 5 2600. I have not noticed any decreased functionality or performance, but I imagine some of these pins had a purpose. I can post a pic or describe which pins they are if anybody has the answer.

2019年11月6日 · so i just removed cpu fan and then the cpu came along with it due to thermal paste from its socket. i just want to know if amd can fix those pins.

2021年12月8日 · This technically applies to both AMD and Intel CPU's, but I personally prefer AMD's approach of having the pins on the CPU instead of the motherboard, as a bent pin on a CPU is very easy to bend back into place.

2022年5月20日 · Hello, I received my shipment from AMD today. An RX 6950 XT and an R7 5800X3D. When unpacking, I noticed that no padding material was used. Before I wanted to put the CPU in the socket, I looked at the pins. The pins are partially bent and the CPU does not fit into the socket. AMD is this a joke?

2019年12月18日 · AMD Warranty doesn't cover bent or broken pins, at least on Consumer Processors. Also if the Processor was sold to you wasn't in its original AMD packaging and thus was damaged, it probably wouldn't be covered anyways.

2023年3月8日 · In fact, the new AMD Ryzen 7000 Series CPUs do not have the pins anymore, the pins are now in the socket. This feature eliminates the possibility of bending the pins when installing the CPU.

2022年1月10日 · The pins will be on the motherboard socket already bent to make contact with CPU pads and damaging those pins in socket is very rare. I know Amd cpus are more powerful then intel cpus is that because they have the pins on the cpus I don't think performance depends on the contact mode, AMD is also moving to 'no pins' CPU from their next gen.

2020年3月23日 · Why does Intel put their pins in the socket and why does amd put their pins on their cpu, wouldn't it be safer/harder to damage if the pins were in the socket. Is it a performance difference or something like that?
