The AKG C 28 A is a small diaphragm tube condenser microphone. This predecessor to the C 451 has preamp circuitry which is similar to the C 12 and AKG-built ELA M 251E microphones, with 6072 tube, T14 output transformer and N 12 power supply.

Designed as a general-purpose studio microphone it was the mainstay of television and recording studios for many years. Frequency response shown is with CK 28 cardioid capsule. The C 28 is a classic axial condenser design dating from the 1950s. The preamplifier can be fitted with a CK 28A cardioid or less usually a CK 26A omni capsule.

2003年9月4日 · We use the AKG C28 A and B's on drum toms, with the CK 4 capsule. This gives a big fat clean sound. One of my C28A's needs a new transformer. Has anyone done this before? Can you suggest a replacement transformer? The Sparrow
