For the technical description of the AK-74 and AKS-74, please refer to the appropriate article at this site. AKS-74U has a severely shortened barrel, with the gas chamber moved back and appropriately cut down gas piston rod.

2016年10月9日 · As stated in the title, this is a complete Bulgarian AKS-74U parts kit with an intact barrel and all parts. All parts are in great shape with the factory finish including the wooden hand guard and triangle stock. Comes with the correct trigger guard which I had to buy separately because the kits coming in at that time didn't have them.

I just got my first RGuns 88 AK-74 off the UPS truck about a hour ago, opened it up and hell, it's got a Tula trigger guard with it! You can easily tell them because they have a "crowned" selector stop.

The Russians refer to the small AKS-74U as a "submachine gun", although it would not be considered as such in the West, because of its chambering for rifle ammunition.

I have a Russian rear sight I would like installed and some cosmetic changes. The rifle has a date of 1992 but has no characteristics of a rifle build in that year.
