A. J. Preller (born June 20, 1977) is an American professional baseball executive who is the president of baseball operations and general manager of the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB).

A.J. Preller was promoted to his current position of president of baseball operations and general manager in February 2021. He originally joined the Padres as executive vice president/general manager on August 6, 2014, making him the 5 th -longest tenured GM in Major League Baseball.
