The AGM-78 Standard ARM or STARM[1] was an anti-radiation missile developed by General Dynamics, United States. It was built on the airframe of the RIM-66 Standard surface-to-air missile, resulting in a very large weapon with considerable range, allowing it to attack targets as much as 50 miles (80 km) away.

The AGM-78 Standard ARM is a mid Cold War era anti-radiation missile of US origin. The AMG-78 was developed on behalf of the US Navy as a longer range alternative to the AGM-45 Shrike. It was the first American anti-radiation missile to feature a flexible seeker head.

The AGM-78 Standard ARM (Anti-Radiation Missile) was a development of the RIM-66 Standard shipborne air-defense missile. It supplemented the AGM-45 Shrike, but like the latter has been replaced by the AGM-88 HARM.

It could be launched from outside the range of the SA-2, with the missile guiding on the radar energy like the earlier Shrike (in fact, the first AGM-78s used Shrike seeker heads).

This is a desktop model of AGM-78 Standard ARM (antiradiation missile), a U.S. Air Force air-launched missile designed to destroy radars that controlled antiaircraft guns and missiles. Carrying a conventional warhead, the missile utilized a solid-fuel motor and was guided by the radar energy emitted by the target.
