2006年3月24日 · The long-promised AFV Club M36 tank destroyer has finally arrived, ending a streak of German subjects issued by this company. The box announces all-new tooling for the turret and the hull/chassis, but the hull and chassis parts are the same as in AFV's previous M10 tank destroyer kits.

Armed with a M3 90mm gun the M36 used a newly designed turret with large rear overhang counterweight to balance the extra weight of the 90mm gun with the initial vehicles issued without a muzzle brake and a thread protector fitted to the muzzle before the later introduction of the large M26 style muzzle brake.

The M36 paint scheme gives the builder lots of opportunity to expand their finishing techniques. With this being my first Armour project I learnt a lot about the use of pigments and gained some confidence painting wooden handled tools.

2023年6月30日 · This time it is the AFV Club's excellent M36 tank destroyer. The build went pretty good, with a usual compliment of a metal barrel, Verlinden and Value gear resin stowage, J's Work cardboard rations box and metal tow cable.
