The Airbus A330-300 series project consists of the Airbus A330-303 (A330-300 with General Electric CF6-80E1 Engines), Airbus A330-323 (A330-300 with Pratt and Whitney PW4000 Engines) and the Airbus A330-343 (A330-300 with Rolls Royce Trent 772B-60 Engines).

The A330 main and nose landing gears incorporate the latest technological advances for an optimal weight, reliability and cost of ownership. The use of advanced materials meeting the new environmental requirements has also been reinforced: high-strength titanium, corrosion-resistant steels, HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) coatings.

The A330-300 has a range of 6,340 nm (11,750 km) with 277 passengers, while the shorter A330-200 can cover 7,260 nm (13,450 km) with 247 passengers. Other variants include the A330-200F dedicated freighter, the A330 MRTT military tanker, and the ACJ330 corporate jet.

It provides a system overview, focusing on the main landing gear (MLG), including the side stay assembly, MLG leg assembly, bogie alignment pitch trimmer, and bogie beam assembly.

There are 3 gear pins and covers which are stowed for flight. There is a shortening mechanism attached to the wing that reduces main gear length by retracting the shock absorber during retraction. There is a hydraulic pitch trimmer on each bogie beam that damps movement and ensure the rear bogie trails after takeoff.
