2016年5月2日 · To me, unless you are doing a Mk18 build (which is not an A2), XM177/XM177E1 clone, or XM607 clone, there is no reason not to use the 11.5" barrel with an A2 SBR. Colt even uses the 11.5" barrel on its Commando models.

2006年8月6日 · I used to have an 11.5" SBR with an A1 buttstock and standard buffer/spring. There is absolutely nothing to worry about. There are way more reliability issues with the various carbine buffer/spring setups than standard A1/A2 assemblies. The buffer, spring, and buttstock need to match; the barrel length does not factor in.

2015年4月28日 · I think I would prefer an A1 stock for fixed stock SBR but I say go for it, you can always change it if you don't like it. As for front sight post/base I don't think that'll really matter too much either. I have an F marked FSB on a 10.5" barrel with 1970s A1 upper that works fine.

There is absolutely no information out in terms of reviews or other hands on experience that I could find across the internet. 2015年8月15日 · I've wanted to use an A2 upper receiver for an SBR for a long time, so that's what I'm currently working on. The only part I have bought so far is a stripped A2 upper receiver. It does have the rear sight installed and the drum goes to an 8/3 setting.

2017年12月2日 · But ballance wise, would seem awkward to me. The 14.5" carbine setup with A2 stock is about the edge of that type of setup. There are also the Magpul ficed carbine stocks, they're shorter than an A2 stock, so that would be more manageable IMO if you had to go fixed.

2018年7月1日 · It's superior to an A2 for flash, but that's about it. It has more muzzle rise since the ports are untimed, as well as more recoil since the ports are aimed forward. It does reduce concussion marginally, but the muzzle is all over the place compared to an A2 and I would recommend passing on it.
