2010年11月12日 · The 1983 Yamaha YZ490 was a great big bore two-stroke that really lit up when you hit the top-end. The engine was a bit sluggish in the bottom end, but excelled in the higher RPMs. This made the YZ490 great for longer tracks and hare scrambles. As fast as the 1983 YZ490 was, though, the brakes didn’t always seem to match up.

2024年12月26日 · This 1983 Yamaha YZ490 was acquired by the seller in 2018 and subsequently refurbished with work that included overhauling the 487cc two-stroke single, porting and polishing the cylinder, having the fork and monoshock rebuilt by Race Tech, and fitting Boyeson reeds, a UNI air filter, a Renthal handlebar, and a Clarke 3.9-gallon fuel tank.

This YZ490 is offered at no reserve in Texas for off-road use only with a paddock stand and a bill of sale. The Competition Yellow plastic bodywork wears black and white graphics and yellow number plates and is mounted over a black single-downtube steel frame.
