2010年1月31日 · The potential of 6 ARC is there, but not everything can be 6 ARC overnight. There are some other practical issues that are causing some builders to look at dedicated 6 ACR receivers and BCGs. I am no expert on 6 ARC, just learning, but it is not as simple as a move from .308 to 6.5 CM.

2020年3月17日 · The shoulder on the 6mm ARC is moved back a bit from the 6mmAR (I'm guessing so 108gr ELDs will fit perfectly at mag length), so the ARC will have a bit less capacity and be a little slower. Personally, I'm ok with giving up a few fps to get a well supported easy-button 6mm AR cartridge optimized for the heavies...

2024年12月27日 · But the 6mm ARC will handle heavier bullets with much higher BC, and still fit the magazine, which is what it was designed for. Heavy match bullets with much higher BCs are much better in the wind than 90 gr bullets. The wind is much more difficult than trajectory. My vote is for the 6mm ARC it suits my needs, better with 107, & 108, gr bullets.

I am looking at getting into 6.5grendel or 6mm arc, but everything I've read so far had been go 6.5 grendel now and 6mm arc when it gets more ammunition manufacturers supporting it. Knowing one could go 6.5 grendel now and use the same mags if switching over to 6mm arc is good info.

2024年1月5日 · Seems the 6mm BR & 6mm Dasher get a lot more love in these circles. Load data looks favorable for the 6mm Dasher when comparing target loads. Though if I consider Hodgdon load data / Hornady load data & barrel length, I have to wonder if the 6mm ARC gives up much to the 6mm Dasher for example.

2024年12月1日 · Peterson 6mm ARC brass arrived today early enough that I was able to do a rather quick evaluation. Visually the brass is superb with rather sharp edges where you want a good sharp edge & radius on the base of the case & going into the primer pockets. Only sampled 5 cases at random as I wanted to do a bit of test firing B4 dark.

2021年3月29日 · And I've always been of the opinion that when the AR15 was first introduced it should have been designed to fire a 6mm projectile rather than the 5.56 Also, I previously thought it would be cool to have a 6.5 Creedmoor in an AR platform. But at this point, the 6mm ARC just makes more sense for my interests.

2023年11月12日 · 6mm arc ballistics look like it does really well in short barrels, but I've seen wierd gas tube lengths from some barrel manufacturers. 22 arc seems wierd to me. 22 arc came from 6mm arc from 6.5 Grendel from 6.5 ppc from 22 ppc from 220 Russian. How diffrent is 22 ARC from 220 Russian/22PPC?
