2023年6月20日 · I know the 6700xt is vastly capable to push to 75fps but currently playing TLOU: Part I and just had enough with frame drops from 75 to 55 in some zones. This made me think that newer games or bad optimizated games will have this kind of issues too (I believe starfield can't reach 70fps 1080p Ultra with 6700xt in some zones).

Hence, I suspect this guide will also work for all commercial GPUs better and/or newer than 6700XT. - This guide is specific to UBUNTU. I do not know how to use ROCm on Windows. - The versions of drivers, OS, and libraries I use in this guide are about 4 months old, so there's probably an update for each one.

There is already a Linux performance test and the 7600xt is pretty much always under the 6700xt even in GPU bound scenarios So the 6700xt is a better buy for 1440p and even 1080p but at 1080 I think the 7600xt will outlast the 6700xt eventually because of that 16GB. Games will only consume more vram in the next 5 years

2023年12月30日 · I'm gonna buy a 6700XT but I'm waiting for either a Gigabyte or Sapphire variant. And I'll enjoy the eye candy of games that I'm playing. It should meet my preference to handle 2K@60-medium or I could always go borderless 1080p@50 low-medium for future games as long as it doesn't stutter and feels responsive enough.
