Pick their size based on what cams you are going to run and how high you can rev the engine. Another advantage that ITBs give you over a custom intake manifold is you don't have to deal with plenum sizing.

However, this type of gain can also be achieved with a regular single TB setup with a good designed manifold. Why people choose to go with ITB's is the drastic increase of throttle response they offer.

Cams are a proven 10-15 wheel horsepower (on a manual transmission) for a decent street grind (meaning you will probably not have to replace your valve springs as long as you don't have a lot of miles on the car.)

2011年9月27日 · The simplest way would be to turbo your 5sfe and use a piggyback with 460cc RX7 injectors and a 3sgte MAP sensor. If you have a rev2 5sfe with the knock sensor you can even use a fuel only piggyback that just alters the MAP signal and let timing be done by the ECU.

2007年10月29日 · If you are keeping the 5sfe, personally the best upgrade is to go 5sfte. Sure is fun to drive, even with just 5 psi. I turbo'ed mine for under $1000.

2006年2月22日 · also does anybody make underdrive pulley's, bigger TB, ITB or a hi-flow intake manifold, higher compresion piston's for the 5sfe? I think a 2,200cc engine should make more hp then 130hp. (comparing apples to oranges but a acura RSX makes 210 from a 2,000cc)

2012年3月4日 · No, the 5SFE doesn't have the cams and valve lift to use ITBs. ITBs aren't a bolt-on mod. They need to be considered with the complete motor and tuning. The valves just aren't open long enough to sustain any reasonable air-flow at 6000rpm, even with ITBs. Hondas regularly gain with ITBs because of their tuning and VTEC.

2023年5月6日 · you can find some really nice 3sge with itb, look up red and grey top beams engines, but will have to import these. Manual swap will be the simplest way to make it fun again.

Price Range will be from $4900-$9000+ Installed depending on engine upgrades, fuel system options, etc. We can do the complete Turbo Conversion package on a stock 5SFE engine but you have to know that the stock engine will not have a long life even if kept at the 5-6 psi boost range.
