Furthermore I wanted to be rid of the cord for the electric face shield I chose the 509 Altitude also and paired it with the Sinister X5 goggles. I have yet to use them. I agree with your write up about some of the fitment and quality issues, paint, nose guard.

2015年12月12日 · I again looked at 509's helmet sizing chart and the 2xl really should of been the perfect choice with a little bit of fudge (24 3⁄4 - 25 1⁄4 per their chart). Not even close. Not even close. I returned the 2xl and got a 3xl and it is perfect ( 25 1⁄2 - 26 per their chart) .

2023年10月7日 · 509 helmets were the worst helmets I ever had. Both let ice in and I pretty much froze. Warm weather, they were fine. Cold weather was awful. The only time my face wasn’t cold was when enough snow got trapped between the shield and helmet and it made an ice dam. I gave up on their fit and finish. Not bad mouthing, just my experience

2014年2月5日 · I have read that the 509 helmet with 509 goggles is a nice combo. I run an HJC with Scott Hustles and it works great. I would maybe start with the 509 helmet goggle combo. They were made to fit together. May be a good place to start.

2024年12月28日 · As I got it. The sun screen works great in sun so the visor is just extra weight for nothing. Now talking about CKX. If you don’t mind an electrical cord the CKX Contact is a fantastic helmet. I never word my 509 Delta 4 after I got it last year. They are cheap and don’t fog as well as being one of the lightest helmets available.

2020年1月23日 · Just wasn't comfortable riding with it for many reasons but he says the helmet is comfortable to wear, fits nice. So he bought the Oxygen and rode the last week in the UP and his exact words were "it's a game changer". He finally enjoyed riding again. He wore both helmets back to back and says he will never put on the 509 again.
