2022年5月30日 · No old 4x4 will match the capability of current models with electronic aids. Even basic traction control is a huge game changer. That being said, the old Toyota Pickups from the late 70s and 80s that were actually Hilux without the name were the most durable and reliable ever sold in the US. Solid axles, manual locking hubs, and 22re motors.

2022年10月23日 · Now my problem (apart from the foundational one which is I don't know much about cars at all) is that all the cars nowadays are called SUVs and afaik SUVs are in theory the type of cars that are more for show than to be an actual off-road wehicle. But there isn't even an off-road category on Gumtree (Austral craiglist), only SUV.

2023年4月1日 · 100% of the cars in my driveway are Nissan Patrols, so based on that sample I would say they have the market locked in. If I extend that sample to include my 4x4 friends we've got 3 LCs (80 and 105 wagons, 79 Ute), an Amarok, Ranger, Hilux and finally a Land Rover.
