In 3D design, the object is seen from all sides and can be manipulated in three dimensions: length, width and depth. On the other hand, in 4D design, the object is seen from all angles including time.

We present Free4D, a novel tuning-free framework for 4D scene generation from a single image.Existing methods either focus on object-level generation, making scene-level generation infeasible, or rely on large-scale multi-view video datasets for expensive training, with limited generalization ability due to the scarcity of 4D scene data.

A 4D design focuses upon the creation of ‘delightful’ experiences between artefacts and people in relation to each other and their environment and involves the design of 'movement', from simple kinesthetics to 'complex' people-artefact conversations.
