Class 43 (HST) is the TOPS classification used for the power cars of British Rail's InterCity 125 High Speed Train. The power cars were built by British Rail Engineering Limited between 1975 and 1982, and have been in service in the UK since 1976. Preserved at the National Railway Museum. Part of the National Collection.

LIVERY:FGW Dark Blue, Gold, White and Pink. MANUFACTURER: Hornby. However, it didn't go well and, within about a year, the dark blue was extended to the cab area and the curved pink stripe was lengthened with no white remaining.

GWR-43016 leads with recent repaint into GWR-Green 43042 on the back working '1A82' the 09:00 from Penzance (Where else apart from Plymouth now for HST's?) to Paddington.The full tele-shot was necessary as a 'Thames-Turbo' was going the other way with a Gloucester to Weymouth train.The standard-lens type shot would have been a complete 'blot out'.
