The difference between the original 4080 and the 4070 Ti Super (both on AD103) is even less than the 1792 cuda core difference between the 5070 Ti and the 5080 at a 1280 cuda core difference. But the difference in L2 cache is pretty big. 64mb on the 4080 vs 48mb on the 4070 Ti Super.

What even is this? I looked at my local Micro Center site, and vegeta535 is correct that the ASUS Prime got put back to $750 from the $899 it was listed at.

2025年1月29日 · 4080 also gets the DLSS improvements so you essentially have the 5080 already -- just a slightly lower power limit and no useless multi frame gen. I understand now why nvidia decided to stop 4080 production way back in like October. A good deal on a 4080 Super would have been like buying a 8GB version of 1080 Ti back in 2017.
